We Are Cyber Essentials Certified
Protecting your information is part of earning your trust
Our clients trust us with confidential financial, business and personal information, and we take that responsibility seriously. We are Cyber Essentials certified, demonstrating that we meet the scheme’s requirements for essential cyber security controls.
Cyber Essentials is built around five technical controls designed to protect organisations against the most common cyber-attacks. These controls underpin the practical steps we take every day to safeguard our systems and the information our clients entrust to us.
Firewalls: Protecting Our Network Connections
We control connections to our networks and devices, allowing access only where there is an approved business need. Our firewall rules are regularly reviewed and unnecessary connections removed, reducing the risk of unauthorised access to our systems.
Secure Configuration: Reducing Avoidable Risks
Rather than relying on default settings, we review the security configuration of our devices, software and cloud services. Unnecessary applications, services and accounts are removed or disabled, and default passwords are changed, limiting the opportunities for attackers to gain access.
Security Update Management: Keeping Our Systems Protected
We use supported software and manage security updates proactively to address known vulnerabilities. Keeping our operating systems, business applications and security tools up to date helps prevent attackers from exploiting weaknesses in the technology we use.
User Access Control: The Right Access for the Right People
Access to our systems and information is based on each person’s role and responsibilities. We review permissions whenever roles change, remove access that is no longer needed, and use separate accounts for administrative tasks, so that sensitive information is available only to those who need it for their work.
Malware Protection: Defending Against Malicious Software
We use centrally managed security protection to help detect and block malicious software, including threats hidden in downloaded files and email attachments. Our protection is updated regularly to help safeguard our systems and the information they hold.
An Ongoing Commitment to Your Information
For us, cyber security is part of delivering a professional, dependable service and building long-term relationships with our clients. Our certification provides reassurance about the essential protections we have in place, and we remain committed to maintaining and reviewing them on an ongoing basis.
